NOTE ABOUT STORE HOURS AND OPERATIONS DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC
In compliance with the NJ shutdown, and to help "flatten the curve", we will be switching to ONLINE ONLY, SHIP-TO-HOME sales for the time being.
Shop local by ordering at www.inkwoodnj.com/shop. Media mail shipping only $2.
If you have a book emergency or need to reach us for any other reason, please send an email to Inkwoodnj@gmail.com and we’ll do our best to get you what you need.
Phone calls and voicemail are not an effective way to reach our staff at present, because they will not be physically in the store.
In the meantime, our staff will be spending their time reading and reviewing books, and sprucing up our website to make the online experience smoother for you.
We will do our best to stick this out, but it will not be easy for us or any small business. Please keep all the other small shops in mind as you shift your shopping online. Many have takeout, e-commerce or are offering touchless pick up and delivery, and all of them want to still be here when this is all over!
We want to thank all our loyal customers for the support you all have shown in this crisis. We appreciate your patience and cooperation in these difficult times, and we hope to see you all in the store sometime soon.
Stay healthy and keep reading!

MOVING UPDATE 3/31
Most of you know we were planning to move Inkwood to a new space before Covid-19 hit us all. We have been closed for two weeks and expect to be closed for at least another month. It’s the right thing to do and we are happy to comply.
However, the crisis forced us to think long and hard about whether moving the store is a smart thing to do when there is so much uncertainty and additional risk. But then, over the course of these two weeks, we watched our community rally in unexpected ways - delivering flowers and pizzas to health care workers and grocery store staff, sharing ideas and resources for newly minted home school teachers/parents, sewing masks, baking bread, and, close to our hearts, making an extra effort to #shoplocal - just to name a very few examples.
So now we’re inspired, we have hope, and we’re doing it! The new store won’t have all the fancy displays, inventory, and fun stuff we envisioned, and we won’t be able to use all the dozens of you who volunteered to help pack and unpack (we will use strictly Inkwood family labor). BUT - we WILL offer a curated selection of books for all ages, and perhaps more importantly, host our friends and neighbors who will once-again need and crave gathering together!
Stay tuned for photos, surveys, and progress reports. -Julie
